Introduction

Govt Taluka Library (Padmashree Bakibab Borkar Library), Curchorem for Quepem Taluka was established on 12th December 1975. It serves for whole taluka which includes Netravali, Malkarnem, Rivona, Vaddem, Uguem, Shigao, Collem, Kalay, Costi, Dabal, Dharbandora, Shiroda, Panchwadi etc. can avail of library services.


The library serves the students of five High schools, two Higher Secondary Schools, one Degree College and other Technical and Professional institutions for preparing projects, assignments, study purpose etc. Employees from Govt. Departments, banks, schools, etc. and general public visit library for their recreational & informational needs. This library is one of the leading and progressive libraries in South Goa in terms of membership and other related activities. This library is housed in a premises leased by Curchorem-Cacora Municipality. Total Library collection comprises of 35332 books in different languages like English, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani etc. The present membership of library is 5629.

Library working Hours:

Monday to Saturday : 9.00 am to 6.30 pm

Sunday :9.00 am to 5.00 pm
